Maybe your WordPress site needs another plugin update. Maybe your Wix or Squarespace bill went up again. Or maybe the site just feels slow and hard to change. You are not stuck with it.
Moving a website sounds scary, so here is exactly how we do it, what it costs, and what does not come with you. No surprises.
BuzFind is a team of experienced web designers, web developers, and SEO professionals, plus our AI Site Builder. We have helped small businesses since 2004 from Portland, Indiana.
How a move works, step by step
Here is the whole path, from the first call to your new site going live.
- A free 30-minute call. Tell us about your old site and what you want to keep. We look at it and count the pages and posts that need to move.
- A written estimate for the move. Moving content is hand work, billed by the hour. You see the hours and the price before anything starts.
- You pick a package and a style. Choose a Site Builder package and a look from our template gallery, then pay the one-time build price.
- The Site Builder builds your new site. It sets up your pages, with tap-to-call and email buttons, page titles, and schema markup.
- We move your content by hand. Your dedicated web designer copies your real text and photos into the new pages, so your site still says what you want it to say.
- You check the preview. Open it on your phone and computer. Ask for changes until it looks right.
- We set up redirects. Each old page address gets a permanent (301) redirect to its new page, so old links and Google searches still land in the right place.
- We point your domain when you say so. If BuzFind manages your domain, we connect it. If not, we send you the DNS records and help you add them. Your old site stays up until you approve the new one.
- After launch, you can edit your words yourself. If we host your site, change your text any time from your dashboard. For anything else, open a support ticket.

Hosting and Hourly HelpWhat comes with you, and what doesn't
We move these over
- The words on your pages
- Your photos and your logo
- Your pages, up to the page count of your package (extra pages are $29 each)
- Blog posts, if you choose the Blog Website package
- Redirects from your old page addresses to the new ones
These stay behind
- Your old theme and design (you pick a new style instead)
- WordPress plugins and Wix or Squarespace apps
- Contact forms (your new site has tap-to-call and email buttons; a form is a custom extra)
- Your old store's cart and past orders (our E-Commerce package sets up a new cart and Stripe checkout)
- A drag-and-drop editor (you edit your words from the dashboard instead)
What your new site can look like
This is a real sample site made with our Site Builder. The business is made up, so you can see a finished site without anyone's private details. Your site gets your own words, photos, and colors.

What you get, in writing
Before you pay, you should know exactly what you are buying. Here it is, with nothing hidden.
Included in every package
- A set number of pages: 2 (Web Presence), 4 (Business Website), 4 plus a blog (Blog Website), or 5 pages plus 20 product pages with a cart and Stripe checkout (E-Commerce). Extra pages are $29 each, and extra products are $75 each.
- A design built for phones first. You can open the preview on your own phone and computer before you approve it.
- A contact page with tap-to-call and email buttons. A contact form is not part of the packages, but we can add one as a custom extra, billed by the hour.
- An SEO-ready build: every page gets its own title and description, clean headings, schema markup, and a sitemap Google can read. Ongoing SEO work, like keyword research, content, and local SEO, is a separate service.
- An SSL certificate (the padlock and HTTPS), included for as long as we host your site. If you host it somewhere else, SSL is up to that host.
- If we host your site: hosting is $19 a month. The first month is paid at checkout with your build.
- Unlimited revisions to the preview before you approve it. Nothing goes live until you say so.
Help after launch, and what it costs
- Hosting ($19 a month) keeps your site online, with SSL and backups. It doesn't include changes.
- If we host your site, you can change the words on your pages yourself, any time, from your dashboard.
- Other changes after launch (new photos, a new service, a new page) for hosting or plan customers: $110 an hour, with a written estimate first. Just open a support ticket.
- No hosting or plan with us: $150 an hour for a single request, with a 1-hour minimum, then billed in 15-minute steps. You get a written estimate before we start.
- Several things to fix at once? Buy a block of hours: 5 hours for $625 ($125/hour) or 10 hours for $1,100 ($110/hour). Blocks are good for 12 months.

What you own
Your business's website is yours: the design, the code, and the words. If you choose self-hosting, you get the full source code when the site is delivered. If we host your site, ask any time and we send you a full copy. Your domain name should be registered in your name, with an email address you control.
Your part
- Buy your own domain name from any domain company and add the DNS records we give you, so it points to your new site. We do not sell domain names yet.
- Renew your domain name on time. If it lapses, your site and email stop working.
- Keep your hosting paid if we host your site.
- Keep your own copies of everything you send us: your logo, photos, and the words for your pages.
- Send us real photos and real facts about your business, and check that everything the site says is true before you approve it.
SSL included with our hosting. No extra cost.
When your site is hosted with BuzFind, the SSL certificate (the padlock and HTTPS in the browser bar) is included at no charge, on every domain we host, for as long as your hosting stays active. It renews on its own. If your site is hosted somewhere else, SSL is up to that host.
Frequently asked questions
How much does it cost to move my site to BuzFind?
There are two parts. First, the new site: a Site Builder package, $599 to $3,499 one time, depending on how many pages you need. Second, the move itself: your dedicated web designer copies your old text, photos, and pages into the new site and sets up redirects by hand. That is billed by the hour, $110 an hour if we host your new site, or $150 an hour if not. We look at your old site first and send a written estimate before any work starts. Hosting is $19 a month if we host it.
What do you move from my old site?
Your words, your photos, and your pages. We copy them over by hand, page by page, so the new site says what your old one said. We do not copy your old design, themes, or plugins. Your new site uses one of our Site Builder styles instead.
Will I lose my Google rankings if I move?
We set up permanent (301) redirects from your old page addresses to the new ones, so Google and your visitors land on the right page. That is the best way to protect the search traffic you have. Still, no one can promise rankings after a move, and we never do.
Can my new site look exactly like my old one?
Not exactly. The Site Builder gives you a fast, clean site in the style you pick from our template gallery, with your colors and logo. If you need a custom design that matches your old site, tell us on the call and we will quote it separately.
What about my contact form, booking tool, or online store?
Every Site Builder site has tap-to-call and email buttons. A contact form is not part of the packages, but we can build one as a custom extra at our hourly rate. If you use an outside booking tool, we can link it from your new site. Our E-Commerce Website package ($3,499) comes with 20 product pages, a shopping cart, secure Stripe checkout, order emails, stock counts, shipping and sales tax, and a Google Shopping feed. We start with a short planning call.
Can I still edit my site myself after the move?
Yes, the words. If we host your site, you can change the text on your pages any time with Edit my site in your dashboard. New photos or new pages go through a support ticket, and we make the change at our hourly rate with a written estimate first. There is no drag-and-drop editor like WordPress, Wix, or Squarespace.
What happens to my domain and my email?
Your domain stays yours. If BuzFind manages your domain, we connect it for you. If it is managed somewhere else, we send you the DNS records and help you add them. Before we switch anything, we look at your email records so your email keeps working. Your old site stays online until you approve the new one.
How long does a move take?
The new site itself is quick: Web Presence and Business Website previews are built the same day, a Blog Website in 1 to 2 business days, and a store in 5 to 7 after a short planning call. Moving the content takes longer when you have many pages or blog posts. Your written estimate tells you the hours and the timing before we start.
What Our Web Design Clients Say
Real reviews from real BuzFind customers, straight from Google.
“My website was not ranking on Google and I needed help. After reaching out to many SEO agencies in Reading and throughout Pennsylvania, I decided to contact BuzFind. Al, at BuzFind was very pleasant to speak to and extremely professional. He detailed all the reasons why my business website was not appearing on Google as I hoped. After several months of hard work and diligence, I have a new website that many complemented positively on the new design. In addition, I am starting seeing the positive results of BuzFind's SEO services, which were very affordable, in my opinions, compared to the pricing I was quoted by other SEO companies. I highly recommend BuzFind to any small business looking to promote their website on Google but can't afford the exorbitant search engine optimization pricing of other companies. Thank you Al for the outstanding work you've done.”

“It is difficult to express in a few words how grateful I was to discover BuzFind. I was publishing my first book, and needed a solid website to back it up. I had NO idea about how to optimize SEO - but Al was very patient with me. He was readily available by phone, every day of the week. Not many, if any, companies can say that! Big projects like this really do take a team effort. I highly recommend Al with BuzFind to become a part of your team. Christie Fletcher/Author - Tampa's Story”
