How to use the Social Automator
A step-by-step guide for customers who already have the Social Automator in one of their seats.

This guide shows you how to run the Social Automator, what to type, and how to read what it sends back. To see what it checks and which plans include it, read the Social Automator page.
Before you start
- Open My AI agents, pick the Social Automator for a seat, and click Save selection; the Social Automator screen stays closed without a seat.
- Have the address of the page you want posts about: your homepage, a product page or a landing page.
- Save your Facebook and Instagram links in Business profile, so the site check can compare them with your pages.
Step by step
- Click Social Automator in the left menu of your dashboard.
- Paste the address of your business, product or landing page, then click Generate posts.
- Wait about 3 to 4 minutes; you can leave the page, and your batch keeps going and shows under Recent batches.
- Use the platform tabs (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, X (Twitter) and Google Business Profile) to read the 5 caption versions for each one, edit the text or hashtags, and click Copy.
- Under Image cards, click Regenerate for a new version of an image or Download to save it.
- Click Schedule to note a platform and a date for a post; this only saves your plan, and you still post it yourself.
What to type in the chat
Copy one of these requests and change the details to match your business.
“Run a social media audit on yourbusiness.com”
Use this in the dashboard chat to check share tags and links to your social profiles; the Brand Guardian joins in.
“Run a social media audit on yourbusiness.com/blog/your-post/”
Use this before you share one page, so the check starts on that page.
“Check the share previews on yourbusiness.com”
Plain wording like this also starts the Social Media Audit.
“Run a brand audit on yourbusiness.com”
Use this when your name and share images worry you more; the Social Automator runs in this audit too.
How to read the results
- In the site check report, findings flagged by Social Automator point to a page with missing share tags or no links to your social profiles.
- On the Social Automator screen, the number on each platform tab shows how many captions are ready for it.
- Each caption card is labeled Variant 1 to 5, and your edits are saved on the card.
What to do next
- Pick one or two variants per platform, put them in your own words, and post them from each platform's own app or site.
- Fix missing share tags before you post links, so your posts show a title and an image.
- Start a new batch from a different page, like a service page, when you need fresh posts.
- Download anything you want to keep before you delete a batch, because deleting removes its captions, image cards and saved dates.
Tips
- BuzFind never posts for you, and Schedule does not send reminders, so keep your own posting calendar.
- Check every fact in a caption, like prices and hours, before you post it.
- If a batch started on the wrong address, click Cancel and start again.
- The image cards are square, so check how they look on each platform before you post.
Questions about using it
Can I make posts about one product only?
Yes. Paste that product page's address instead of your homepage, and the posts are written from that page.
Where do my earlier batches go?
Your 5 most recent batches are listed under Recent batches on the Social Automator screen, so you can open one again.
Are the site check and the post maker the same thing?
No. The site check runs from the dashboard chat and looks at your share tags. The post maker runs from the Social Automator screen and writes drafts.
Guides for agents that pair well
Agents work better together. Here are specialists that pair well with the Social Automator:
- Authority Content Creator - Writes long article drafts in Markdown (guides, research reports, pillar pages) on the topic you give it.
- Brand Guardian - Checks your own pages for brand slips (your business name written different ways, spelling slips in titles and headings, share images that are not yours) and returns a fix list.
- Entity Schema Engineer - Checks the schema.
